    This is an antique brass metal stacking bracelet that is flat on one side which was worn and used as currency by African tribal people for trading transactions. This brass currency bracelet was collected in Mali, Africa. This brass primitive money currency specimen has some etched design patterns and is in great overall antique tribally used condition with wear.
    This currency specimen has an outer circumference of 9 inches.
    Currency bracelets & anklets served as indications of wealth and were used to store finances, pay for dowries and buy or trade for livestock and goods. This is an amazing example and a perfect piece to add to any advanced African currency collection. The most common forms of traditional money in Africa were made of metal, either forged or cast.
