This is a Canberra URAD Plus that is in like new condition.  I bought two of these in February of this year.  Both were new.  The calibration of the two match exactly which is astounding and shows that these units retain their calibration for a long time.  I checked the accumulated dose between the two instruments over several days of measuring background and they matched  to the last significant digit.  I was going to give one to my son but his situation changed and so I no longer need one of these.
The Canberra Ultra Radiac was originally designed for the U.S. Military.  The military units are identical to this unit, which is designed for First Responders, with two exceptions:  The military units are olive green and they have a Neutron detector.  Unless you work around a nuclear reactor, you probably won't see any neutrons so the neutron detector is not necessary.
This instrument has four alarms that can be set by the user as well as an extremely wide measurement range from 1.0 µR/hr to 200 R/hr.  The dose rate alarm will function to 500 R/hr.
