11" long x 2" diameter high-performance NaI(Tl) scintillation probe
made by EMR Photoelectric (a division of Schlumberger, now known as Schlumberger Princeton Technology Center).
Hermetically-sealed in stainless-steel jacket.
Built for oil well logging, gas exploration, etc. including measuring while drilling
(MWD).  Has internal Bicron/St Globain NaI(Tl) crystal and a harsh-environment encapsulated metal-ceramic photomultiplier tube.
An absolute beauty for
high-sensitivity, high-resolution
x-ray and gamma-ray spectroscopy in harsh environments!  Requires +1.6kV bias.
TESTED
Use for DIY prospecting, mine exploration, natural gas prospecting, Helium gas prospecting, oil well logging, general-purpose gamma radiation spectroscopy, industrial x-ray systems, Farnsworth fusor, etc.
