This Ludlum Measurements 14C Geiger Counter / Survey Meter w/ 44-38 Gamma, Beta Radiation Detector is in
excellent
cosmetic and working condition.  The meter records about 20 counts per minute of background radiation (with the window closed).  We do not have a reference source with which to test it quantitatively.
Epoxied to the right side of the display is a Beta radiation source (see picture 3).  It generates 700-800 cpm if the 44-38 window is opened (and pointing at it).
Serial number of 44-38 Probe is 295985.  Serial number of 14C is 277686.
