PERFECT Vintage Pink Fostoria "FAIRFAX" Salad Plate - X6!

Description

Up for sale is an absolutely perfect hard-to-find Rose pink depression glass salad plate in the “Fairfax” pattern by Fostoria!  Fostoria started making the Fairfax pattern in 1927, and they used it for several of their most popular etched patterns (June, Versailles and Trojan are a few).  Collectors of the etched patterns often fill in their table settings with unetched pieces.  There are 6 salad plates for sale in this auction – the bid price is for one plate, and the buyer has the option of taking as many as desired.  All six are in extraordinary condition – there are no chips, cracks, flakes, fleabites, nicks or roughness anywhere, and the glass is nice and shiny with no stains, oxidation or unsightly utensil scratches.  Among all 6 there may be an odd scrape or scuff here or there, but that’s about it!  They’re a very versatile size - they measure 8 1/4 inches in diameter across the top, and they stand on polished ground rims.  They’re perfect for salad or luncheon plates, or for dessert items like cake or pie! They’re absolutely guaranteed to be vintage – not reproduction or new glass.  I have other pieces for sale in other auctions, so be sure to take a look!  The Fairfax pattern can be seen photographed either in Gene Florence’s “Elegant Glassware of the Depression Era” or in Coe’s “Elegant Glass – Early, Depression & Beyond”!  The buyer will pay shipping (and insurance if desired).  Shipping will be combined for the buyer of more than one item whenever practical.  Shipping is normally within 24 hours after receipt of PayPal payment (if other payment options are desired, please don’t hesitate to inquire).
