I am selling
RadiaCode 101 Scintillation radiation detector and Gamma spectrometer CslTI New
RadiaCode-101 is a representative of a fundamentally new generation of household dosimeters. New in 2021 based on a scintillation sensor. Best Selling Dosimeter on Ozon!
To explain more easily the advantages and revolutionary nature of the RadiaCode-101 model, we will compare it with conventional dosimeters, the overwhelming majority of which (under different brands) are based on the same gas-discharge sensor SBM-20-1. We will compare using the two most common practical examples of using dosimeters.
1. Count rate (Reaction rate). Radiakod-101 measures radiation approximately 23 times faster than conventional dosimeters on the SBM-20-1 sensor.
In practice, this is a huge advantage. Suppose you want to walk around your hometown or during tourist trips and want to ask if there are any places with a high background on your route. Usually in every city you can find buildings with granite facades, paving slabs and most of the monuments, which can fonder up to 100 microns per hour.
With a conventional dosimeter, you will have to take one step every 20-60 seconds so that such a dosimeter can estimate the background in each section of the street. At the same time, depending on the model of the dosimeter, you will most likely have to constantly look at the screen of the device to control the level of radiation power. With the RadiaCode-101 model, everything happens completely differently: you can put the dosimeter in your pocket and follow the route at a brisk pace, focusing on sound and / or vibration alarms. You will stop only when you want to determine the specific location of the radiation source after the RadiaCode-101 alarm is triggered.
Moreover, you can even run with a dosimeter - it still manages to monitor the background radiation and signal in time that it is exceeded. In addition, the dosimeter can be connected via bluetooth to a smartphone, then the dosimeter does not have to be taken out of your pocket (purse) at all. Any device settings can be done via a mobile application in just a few seconds, while in ordinary dosimeters, even instructions may be required.
But the most interesting thing: The radio code can overlay the track of the route you traveled directly on the google map of your smartphone and put a mark at each point with the radiation level and with the preservation of gps coordinates. Conventional dosimeters, of course, are not capable of this. Such a track can be easily shared through instant messengers. The track will be marked with a customizable color scheme, where you can see high and low levels of radiation through the color picker. Screenshots of the tracks can be viewed in the photo gallery of this product.
Well, if you are a lover of natural sciences and adequately assess the radiation risks, then Radiakod-101 will become your constant companion in the process of searching for various sources of ionizing radiation. RadiaCode-101 can work up to 500 hours on one charge of the built-in battery. I put it down and forgot it. Meanwhile, the dosimeter constantly monitors sources of increased radiation.
By the way, if you find any object in the city, you should not panic, as a rule, they are quite safe. The really dangerous is the radiation that gets inside the body. About this in the next paragraph.
2. Checking food for radiation.
Checking food for radiation is actually an extremely difficult task for most dosimeters, and first of all for those designed on the above-mentioned SBM-20-1 sensors: here you have to be sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo going before any results can be obtained. and then make at least some conclusion.
As a result of accidental or uncontrolled releases, radioactive substances fall out with precipitation over large areas and go directly into water bodies. Plants absorb these substances. In turn, these plants are consumed by cows and other farmed livestock. As a result, we have raw dairy products, berries, mushrooms, meat, fish, which may contain radioactive substances inside. Of course, you should not be very afraid to accidentally buy mushrooms or berries from the Chernobyl and similar zones one day, after all, there is sanitary control, which, as a rule, cuts off heavily contaminated food. But on an ongoing basis, it is better not to take food from these territories. There may be more unpredictable surprises if you pick mushrooms and berries yourself, especially on the territories of Bryansk, Tula, Kaluga, Ryazan and some other regions, where Chernobyl radioactive fallout fell in places in 1986. They will lie in the ground for a long time, feeding plant roots and fungal mycelium with elements such as Cesium-137 and Strontium-90.
But RadiaCode-101 is able to detect the very isotope of Cesium-137 (and other radionuclides) in the listed food products even in low concentrations. The content of, for example, Cesium-137 may even be acceptable according to the MPC norms. However, you need to understand that Cesium 137 is a radioactive isotope that our body confuses with protein and integrates it into muscle tissue. Its half-life is more than 30 years, so it will get stuck there for a long time and will irradiate the organs of the body from the inside. So, for the prevention of health, the presence of Cesium-137 in the body is extremely undesirable, even if the product passes the MPC standards. RadiaCode-101 recognizes isotopes using the gamma spectrometry function. In other words, the device not only shows the level of radiation, it also shows the isotopic composition of the source of this radiation. Spectrometric analysis is of course not available for conventional dosimeters. Moreover, RadiaCode-101 will be indispensable in a situation where the level of self-radiation of radiation from a food product is slightly lower than the natural background, then there is only one way to check - through the spectrometry function. And RadiaCode-101 has it.
Be sure to watch the video on this page: it very clearly demonstrates how to work with the spectrum.
We also recommend reading reviews and evaluating them in terms of volume and content. For ordinary dosimeters, reviews consist of 5-10 words, because there is nothing to write about: "it seems to work", "it seems to be normal" ... And then read the reviews on RadiaCode-101: in them you will see evidence of enthusiasm and innovativeness of the product.
Other advantages of RadiaCode-101:
- a huge amount of built-in memory (32 MB or up to 1000 hours of observations);
- increased splash and dust protection of the case (protection class IP64);
- indication of the current error of the result (to understand the level of its accuracy);
- wireless Bluetooth communication with a smartphone;
- USB connection to PC for full-fledged work with the dosimeter;
- independent updating of the device firmware;
- auto-backlight of the display in the dark;
- auto-rotation of the screen image when the device is turned over;
- display of measurement results in the form of accumulated dose, dose rate, count rate;
- dose rate and counting rate are additionally displayed graphically;
- alarm signaling when the set thresholds are exceeded (light, sound and vibration signal);
- variety of used units of measurement: X-ray, sievert, imp / sec, imp / min;
- the ability to transfer the received data not only to a computer and smartphone, but also to store it in external cloud storage;
- the dosimeter is easy to charge (just like a smartphone).
The RadiaCode-101 dosimeter evaluates the radiation situation by the power of ionizing radiation, responding to X-rays, gamma radiation and beta particles flux.
Due to its compactness and wireless Bluetooth connection, the RadiaCode-101 dosimeter can be conveniently placed in a sports case on the lower leg (closer to the ground) or on the arm, and visual control of the detected radiation (if necessary) can be carried out using a smartphone.
Instrument operating modes
The dosimeter RadiaCode-101 carries out collection, accumulation and analysis of data in a continuous mode. Therefore, at any time, one of the following options for displaying the assessment of the radiation situation is available:
- Monitor: assessment of dose rate and count rate (Sv / h, R / h, CPS, CPM)
- Dose estimation (Sv, R)
- Operational search (CPS, CPM)
- Energy spectrum (linear or logarithmic scale).
In this case, changing the information display mode does not reset the measurements of all specified parameters.
Features of the RadiaCode-101 dosimeter sensor.
The dosimeter RadiaCode-101 is designed on the basis of a scintillation radiation sensor. This sensor includes:
- crystal CsI (Tl) of cesium iodide doped with thallium in a sealed container;
- silicon photomultiplier;
- optical interface between scintillator and photomultiplier;
- precision power supply with temperature compensation for the photomultiplier;
- high-speed analog-digital circuit for processing pulses from a photomultiplier.
In combination with the adaptive processing algorithm, this gives the user of the RadiaCode-101 dosimeter the following options:
- count the number of pulses (radioactive decays);
- take into account the amplitude of the pulses;
- to estimate the radiation dose equivalent to the human body;
- display the shape of the energy spectrum of ionizing radiation;
- to evaluate the random error of the dose and dose rate estimates;
- very high sensitivity to gamma and x-ray radiation;
- instant notification of radiation hazard.
Announcement of device firmware updates.
In the near future, several important and interesting update packages are planned for the RadiaCode-101 dosimeter, which you can independently install in your device (through a simple firmware update procedure):
- dose rate compensation spectrum;
