    "170th AHC "Bikinis & Buccaneers ~ Redux"
    Vietnam War Home Movies
Color home movie footage filmed and narrated by SP/5 Stephen Crawford, 170th AHC, 52nd AVN BN, Camp Holloway, Pleiku during 1967 and 1968.
You'll see shots of Camp Holloway near Pleiku -- the "Bikini Beach" sign, hootch area, helicopter maintenance area, Hueys landing, "Buccaneer" gunships ready to take off, panning shots of the hills and scenery around the base, and more.
There's lots of aerial footage filmed at different times onboard Hueys -- flying over crashed helicopters, over villages and following roads, aerial shots of F-4s making bomb runs in the mountains, a low-level pass over Dak To airstrip with smoldering aircraft wreckage, great footage filmed while circling a mountain-top radio relay site "Leghorn", flying over Laos, and more. On the ground, you'll see a "Bikini Blue" Huey up close, and later footage of its wreckage. There's a Bob Hope USO Christmas Show with Raquel Welch, street scenes in downtown Pleiku, Montagnard soldiers digging trenches at FOB-2, Montagnard girls that worked at the base
-- all described with great anecdotes and memories by Mr. Crawford. The narration really makes the movie come to life.
Running Time: 1 hour, 22 minutes
